My first session was booked a few weeks before Christmas. Life was frantic and I was moving house too! I had made no time to mentally prepare myself and cut down before the big day! Suddenly I found myself on the couch, having laser treatment. “I am not ready for this!”I
panicked.
The session was quick and painless. Afterwards I felt extremely relaxed. I was convinced that this was never going to work but dutifully threw my cigarettes in the bin anyway.
That first evening at home watching TV , I thought about cigarettes a few times, which is understandable as I would normally smoke about 7 cigarettes in an evening. The next day I had my second laser treatment and by the end of the first week, I only thought about cigarettes if I saw somebody smoking.
I had my third laser session at the end of week 2 but by that time, I was hardly thinking about cigarettes at all .I declined the 4th session as I didn’t need it!
Life is very stressful at the moment and of course I think about cigarettes from time to time but smoking no longer holds any appeal for me.
I have tried almost everything to help me quit smoking and nothing has worked. I certainly did not expect laser to work. Everybody who knows me is amazed that I have given up smoking but nobody is more amazed than I am!!”

At my first appointment I felt as sick as a dog with nerves and I was also worried about what would happen after the appointment and for the rest of the day and the days after that too without a cigarette!!
Anni was really easy to get on with , she explained what was going to happen during the treatment and gave me some advice and helpful tips to help me adjust. 24 hour support was available to me as well if I needed it. I told Anni I wouldn’t need it, I couldn’t call her at 3am in the morning! could I?! But knowing that I had that kind of support just a phone call away was a great help, something to fall back on.
Anni had also been a smoker herself once so that was also great to hear because she probably knew what I was going through.
After the first treatment I felt great , relaxed, it was so quick! The rest of that day was a lot easier than I thought it would be, my husband kept asking me if I was ok and I really was ! I couldn’t believe it! I thought about cigarettes but I didn’t want one,
no cravings. I was so happy!
The next day I had my second treatment , I remember thinking I couldn’t wait to see Anni and tell her how I felt. We talked over things again for a bit and again I was given some great advice that was when I realised I had done it! A whole day without
a cigarette and then I was having another treatment so I would be a second day without a cigarettes!
Two weeks later I still hadn’t smoked , I hadn’t wanted to! I was having my third treatment and we discussed my progress and again advice, suggestions were given and it has now been a year and I never did have the 4th treatment. I told all my friends about this
treatment, everyone should know about it, it certainly changed my life!
