Dental Implants

A dental implant is a way to replace a tooth that has been extracted.

Placing dental implants is a specialist facility, in which we are fully qualified.

We work in 3 stages, using the Bicon Dental Implant System.

Stage 1
The implant is placed into the jaw via a surgical procedure which usually takes around an hour.

Stage 2
The implant is left for a minimum of three months to integrate with the bone and make what is in effect a new 'root.'

Stage 3
After the three-month waiting period, there are three further appointments:

  1. to expose and check the implant and place a healing cap;
  2. to place an abutment post into the implant and take impressions for the laboratory to make a crown, a bridge or a removable denture;
  3. to deploy this device to cover the post and replace the missing tooth.
